Happened on to this place at breakfast while staying at the Sheraton just up the street. Service was very prompt. I had the divorced eggs with Verde chilaquiles and it was excellent. Definitely recommend. And very affordable!

Late night find walking back to our hotel. Awesome drinks. And great food. The taste of the Mexico City tacos was incredible. Our waiter was great. Nice guy. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Great little place at the beginning of the downtown area. Chips were the best we’ve had in PV! We tried the grilled meat and the shrimp enchiladas and both were excellent. Very fresh and spiced perfectly. Nachos were amazing. Get them with chicken. So good! The restaurant is open air and was a little breezy but great other than that.

We had breakfast here on the last two days of our vacation and kicked ourselves for not discovering it earlier. Breakfast was better, cheaper and delivered much faster than at the hotel where we were staying. As soon as we were seated, coffee was poured and a server came by with a pastry basket. Our entrees were egg dishes each time. Portions were large and the sides were terrific. Yes, the place is a tiny bit touristy, but we were thrilled with the quality of the food.

We were staying right across the street and decided to have a drink here before dinner. The reception from the staff could not have been more welcoming. We had such a good time we decided to try it for breakfast. Wonderful! Everything is so fresh. They make lovely juice drinks from fresh fruit — any combination. The food is great with lots of options and the service is top notch. We had breakfast here five out of our six days in Puerto Vallarta. A very good experience and cost a lot less than what we would have paid at the resort.

PLEASENOTE: My visit to El Andariego was part of a Holland America Shore Excursion described as a cooking lesson. While it was more of an «assembly lesson», the ingredients were excellent and the ambiance was very relaxed and comfortable. We got a small Margarita included with our lesson, but several of us opted for the standard size. Mine was just a «classico» with small ice cubes rather than crushed ice. It was a perfect balance between a clean lime taste and the right amount of tequila. We «made» salsa and assembled two other dishes. The photos I am posting are of the food I *assembled*, not theirs. If you have a group of 8 – 10 and want the experience we had I am sure the restaurant would arrange it. Next time I’m in P.V. I will let THEM assemble the dishes LOL. Around us were locals and a few tourists enjoying what was clearly excellent food and a friendly atmosphere.

Stellar food and phenomenal service! This place was recommended to us by our taxi driver so said he worked here for 10 years… My wife and I are VERY glad that we took his advice! We got a margarita clásica, Margarita con tequila agave azul, Margarita de mango con tajin, some spectacular coconut shrimp with mango sauce, and a molcajete de mariscos which was recommended to us by our server. The drinks were great and were perfectly balanced between smooth and strong and the food was phenomenal! It was empty when we first went in but don’t let that fool you, go inside and try this amazing place with fantastic food! Update: we came a second time during our honeymoon and once again they delivered with a great atmosphere, live music which was a nice touch, fresh guac, and of course great food! Second time around we got fresh made guacamole, molcajete de mar y tierra, y un cóctel de camarones! Everything tastes fresh and crisp! I cannot recommend this place enough!
