I knew I was going to seek out a place to get new eye glasses while in PV. My good fortune to discover this place. A small little shop easy to find & a pleasant walk at that. David, the owner was gracious & a true gentleman. Great humor & speaks both Spanish & English. FREE eye exam! He has a very nice selection of fashionable frames to choose from. I purchased TWO new pair of glasses. Unbelievable economic prices. As promised, I received an email when my glasses were ready to be picked up! Great service. I was given full itemized receipts to present at kiosk at airport to receive a credit on the tax charged !!! Credit cards accepted. There are increasingly fewer places where you can actually save money in Mexico over the U.S. but eye glasses are one of them. All of my friends get their glasses down here. There are lots of places to get your new peepers but this is my favorite. The owner (David) is terrific and stocks a wonderful selection of designer frames.
He can give you an exam (no charge) or fill your prescription or even «read» your existing lenses. You can get plain and simple or all the bells and whistles (transition, graduated bifocals, no-​glare/​no scratch Crizal lenses). Turn around is just a few days so they’ll be ready to take home when you depart.
Now, here’s the good part. Think what you paid for your last pair. Got it? Now cut it in half. He’ll even give you a receipt that you can turn in at a kiosk at the airport on your way out of town to get your IVA tax refunded. Such a deal. Very happy with my new glasses. I’m a believer.
