Before this year I would have had to rate this place lower even though I have a long history with the place because the cigarette smoke was so terrible but the government is finally getting serious and levying major fines to support the no-smoking laws that were passed several years ago but were never enforced. Now that you can actually breath in here you can appreciate what a lovely, professionally run bar this is. Just lovely. Friendly attractive staff, good live entertainment, no cover, also no food(other than the occasional bowl of bar snacks). This is not a «party» bar with drunk tourists swinging from the chandeliers. It is a reasonably low key(for Mexico) martini bar mostly catering to gentlemen but welcoming to all. Drinks are among the best(and most expensive) in Puerto Vallarta so it’s not probably some place that you’ll hang out and drink all night but a great spot for a drink and good conversation before or after dinner. Could be in any major city and a surprisingly welcome find in P.V.
