Dined here during PV restaurant week when guest chef Randy Placeres was hosting. You have a choice of sushi bar or teppanyaki here and we chose to be seated at the latter. Nice atmosphere, a little loud when busy, but typical for teppanyaki. We tried the chirazi, maguro, sashimi trio and a special chefs roll appetizers and all were wonderful. My friend ordered Randy’s steak prep and it too was flavorful and good. I tried the house teppanyaki combo of filet and shrimp with a combo fried rice. The steak and fried rice were done very well, the veggies were done nicely Al dente, but I found the shrimp way over salted. Went back to Randy for the desserts and found the cheesecake with fruit light and satisfying as well as a nice panacotta, prepared in a slightly firmer style. Overall a very nice dining experience with a little extra show provided by a very competent teppanyaki chef.

Looking to satisfy your sushi craving when you are in The Marriott Casamagna PV: head on to Mikado! Located next to the hotel itself, this hidden gem is spacious, luxurious, and gives you what you need(except Uni) for a vacation. Seared crusted tuna is what I recommend for a starter and then we followed it up with more nigiris and sakes. The staff is super helpful, friendly, and they speak awesome English. The restaurant is spacious and stylish. It has its own Koi pond inside — perfect for any romantic pictures.
