Terrible quality and overpriced. Tourist trap; escape now while you can!!! Service was good and beer was cold… so i guess if you are thirsty and not hungry I would recommend this place.

Went here with a few girlfriends for dinner our first night in Playa. Food was pretty good, but I made the mistake of leaving a white envelope of money on the table and didn’t realize it until later that night when we were back at our hotel. We went back the next morning, hoping someone at the restaurant picked it up and turned it in, but no such luck! My money was STOLEN by this place! Unfortunately, I can’t blame this on anyone else because no one else was sitting near our table that night. Maybe you should check the integrity of your waiters! It didn’t help matters that our waiter was standing in the corner, watching us like a hawk while we were eating, and then handed me a survey to fill out while we were trying to pay and leave. Please stay away from this place! There are many, many better restaurants to check out that won’t take your stuff. We won’t be back!

Worst meal in Mexico. Fish was not edible, thank goodness for the stray cat and the raccoon in the cenote that would eat it. Not fresh, tasted fishy, and sauces were saccharine sweet. Ceviche was rubbery and also not seasoned properly. Gross. Outdoor landscape was beautiful but food was not up to par.

One of the FEW authentic regional restaurants on the Avenida Quinta. Service=outstanding. I did have to ask for a separate cocktail menu, but other than that, the staff is awesome. I was in a large group so we had a spacious table outside. Patio is amazing at night. So many trees and not too loud from the busy street. I had the soap Azteca, chicken mole, and the Aldea margarita. My favorite meal from my entire trip. Eat here,‘you won’t be sorry.

Food was highly average, service was ordinary. On top was forced to pay 15% tip for party of two. There are too many other good options, don’t go to this place.

This sounds similar to the Susan L. story. I went to make a reservation for a party of 9. I asked the lady if they took reservations and she said«Yes»(I had not even told her it was for 9), then she said asked me to wait. She talked to a person and came back and said«We don’t take reservations». This type of behavior seems to happen more frequently in Playa del Carmen than other places we’ve visited. I ask that Unilocal take«Accepts Reservations: Yes» off their web-site.

Best in Playa. Sit in the garden near the waterfall. Excellent food and over-the-top service. Great meal with wine and mixed drinks for four, spent less than $ 100USD. Can’t say enough good things.

Nice place as the restaurant is located in a cenote and you are surrounded by threes. However the food wasn’t good and way too expensive for the quality of the food

We came for lunch and drinks. The margaritas were delicious and strong. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The queso fundito was amazing. The outside seating area is gorgeous. We were super impressed with the atmosphere. The vegetation was beautiful and you can hear the waterfall in the background. The service was on point. Our server was attentive and spoke both English and Spanish. We were very impressed and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Beutiful garden, very romantic, ordered a Margarita to start and was bad and recommend by the waiter. Then we ordered the tortilla soup that was just ok. We the went for the apertizer fish tacos and the stake tacos not good at all. We went here at 8pm. I should have known there were a lot to tables available. If your looking to have great mexican food this is not the place.

Wow!

The place is built on a cenote. Unfriendly staff but good food and very reasonably priced. Packed with tourists. Home made salsas and tortillas. If you like wine don’t order the local wines.

I’ve eaten here three times! Without knowing it. We have ended up here multiple times when hungry and looking for a place to eat with a big group and satisfying many dietary restrictions. The service is excellent. Food is very good. I had the shrimp fajitas. The shrimp was tad but overcooked. But the flank steak was fabulous. So we’re the veggie fajitas and the soups were very good too. Great place for large groups or small. Great ambience and service. Good for vegetarians and families with kids.

I was recently taken here for brunch for my bday and my date couldn’t have chosen a better place!!! It on the heart of 5th avenue and let me just say I was amazed with this restaurant. If you like nature Once u enter u will be blown away by what’s inside, you are surrounded by trees and a cenote. A beautiful garden where u can hear the waterfall and birds chirping. It was an amazing experience. My date and I were craving tacos so he ordered the«Tacos Plaza de toros» and I got«Tacos Arrachera» along side with an order of freshly made guacamole and their hottest hot sauce which was AMAZING if u like spicy sauces. The service was GREAT! They have free wifi and there’s a photographer going around taking you pictures which later he prints them out and you are surprised with something amazing. «Pictures in a tequila bottle». Cute souvenir if u ask me. I’m in love with this place. Zero complaints.

This experience was beyond horrible! My husband and I went to look at the restaurant on Wednesday to see about booking a table for our 10th Wedding Anniversary Party for Friday. We made the reservation and we were all set. Upon arrival to the Aldea the staff said that they booked our table to another(larger) group. Not only did they give our table away they didn’t even have another table ready for us when we arrived. We were a group of six and they were showing us tables of 4 in the corner of the restaurant. They said to us that they could push the tables together. You would think that if they were going to give our table way to a larger group they would at least: a. Call b. Have something special ready But they had nothing set up and offered nothing for HUGE and embarrassing inconvenience. This was a HUGE disappointment. The reservations team blew it beyond words. Out of principal please DONOT support this restaurant. They offered nothing and made no attempt to remedy the situation. 10 years is a special event and I would have been flexible if they would have had a table ready but they had nothing!!! Please DONOTGIVE Aldea Corazon your business because them broke my Corazon.

Hidden in the garden right off of crazy 5th Ave, it is a perfect spot for a special dinner, while your surrounded by nature and event a Xenote! Just beautiful, by day and by night. Very tasty food. As Gluten Free & Vegetarian eater I was able to find great salads and Fajitas. Both really good! Their light up menus are a great feature when dinning in the evening. Very peaceful, romantic, hidden treasure kinda spot.

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The scenery was amazing — it feels like you’re sitting in a rainforest. We loved their complementary salsas and tortilla chips. We tried a lot of different things but, by far, the best was the FISHTACOS(4). They were hands down the best tacos I have ever had! Our waiter — Guillermo — was incredible. He was so attentive and we had great conversation with him.

Continuing our vacation — we stopped at this little place and immediately fell in love. The 5-Star Good: The ambiance and the Shrimp Taco appetizer. If I’d have stopped there is have given it 5 stars. The 3-Star Good: Everything else Averaged it out to a 4 star review… Although just being in the beautiful surroundings really make it deserving of 5 stars and a MUSTSEE!
