Excellent service. I complained about a couple small things and the waiter went above and beyond my expectations. Will return! I really liked their appetizer special, the roasted broccoli.

Got off the cruise ship and started my trek up and down the roads looking for a good place to relax and have lunch. I passed dozens of places, but they all seemed to be tequila bars filled with drunk tourists. That used to be my scene but today I just hoped to find a good place and ended up at a GREAT place instead. Sat at the bar, which is indoors, a blessing on a hot day, but still with views of the ocean. There is also an open patio, but I prefer the AC and watching them make their pizzas in the oven. The menu had lots of great Italian dishes, but the seafood items were what appealed to me most. I had a delicious lunch… but sadly, had no room for dessert. Met the owner, Yvonne, who has a real passion for the restaurant and when she told me the story of how her father started it, I could see the pride she has in this place. And she should be proud… this place is incredible, the staff is friendly and I will definitely be back!

If you’re staying in Cancun, this restaurant is worth the fairy ride to Cozumel! If you’re already staying in Cozumel, lucky you, pop on in! Don’t waste your time and money on the overpriced tourist traps like Senior Frogs. For quality Italian cuisine while in Mexico, look no further. The restaurant is like a mullet. Business in the front, party in the back! There’s a modern ambiance when you first walk in, and then an outdoor casual feel with a cat named Mishba lazily wandering about in the large back patio. You’ll find seashell lighting and winding tree roots climbing the walls. House made garlic bread, fresh fish of the day, gourmet pizzas, lasagna, ravioli, risotto, oh my! You can’t go wrong with any of them, really. Enjoy a cold glass of beer or wine and have a bite of what everyone else ordered too. You won’t leave hungry. Only happy.

Went one night to meet friends for drinks and deserts, and heard such good things came back the next day for lunch. Food was fantastic, we had a pizza and the pasta with local king crab and it was great. Service both nights was wonderful, would definitely recommend.

From the wine list to dessert I enjoyed my dinner both evenings. Friendly staff from the top down .they knew when you needed them and when to let you enjoy your meal. being alone i didn’t drink the bottle of wine so they recorked it and keep for me. when i returned they immediately knew which bottle was mine and even remebered my name . Both meals where excellent. I enjoyed the filet of beef more than the Ossobuco. both where well prepared and served with appropriate side dishes . The atmosphere was mixed locals and tourist. Many celebrating special occasions.

Excellent meal and staff. I had the pork belly, my son had fish and my wife had the spaghetti carbonara. All were perfect. We’ll go again before we leave the island.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in life. I haven’t been there in almost 8 years!!! But due to some traveling back to cozumel I went back and I was happily surprised. Not only the service is still good, it has gone to a whole new different level. All the staff is incredible kind and nice, the service is fast. The food just keeps getting better, the flavors of my favorite dishes like lasagna and pizza margueritta are still the same. They taste like home… but the new dishes on the menu, the pavlova, the new pizzas and salads all good. I am very glad to find places like this!

My wife and I ate here twice on our last trip to Cozumel and loved it. We decided to try it based on Unilocal reviews and we’re not disappointed; the Garlic bread, roasted octopus and Beef Carpaccio were excellent appetizers. Also loved the Spaghetti Carbonara, Ravioli, Spinach pasta. The Tiramisu is great too. We’ll definitely go there again, and again. I also tried the craft beer, Libertad.

Awesome Italian restaurant! Wish we had this joint in the states, very friendly and accommodating staff. We loved this place so much we went here twice in our weeks stay. I ordered the chicken entrée the first time, and the ravioli the second. Both superb but the ravioli… oh. my. goodness! SO delicious! Do yourself a favor and order the garlic bread(more like naan) and a piña colada while you wait for your meal. Can’t wait to come back! ¡Adiós Guidos!

We were hesitant to try out an Italian restaurant in Cozumel since we’re from NYC and there’s no shortage of quality Italian food at home. But, being in Cozumel, there is only so much Mexican food you can have before you get just a little tired of it. We had fajitas and tacos everyday and it just became bland to us. So, based on people’s recommendations(taxi driver, concierge), we decided on Guido’s down the street from the hotel. Upon entrance, we felt out of place due to our clothing. We came straight from the beach so we were very casual in shorts and tank tops, while the patrons sitting inside were in dress shirts and slacks. We opted to sit in the backyard for the open air instead of A/C. There, we felt much more at ease as other patrons were also relaxed in clothing. We got down to ordering: — Black Linguini, frutti di mare, shrimp, scallops & octopus served with a pink Cognac sauce — amazing chunks of seafood, huge shrimp, great audente pasta, creamy sauce and wonderful flavor. — Panko crusted king lobster leg with shrimp over cilantro rice — solid lobster pieces, lightly fried with just enough crispiness while not being greasy, great taste and fresh flavor — Mango Cake vanilla ice cream cake topped with mango, flamed at your table with orange liqueur — the liqueur flavor is overpowering but the cake is on point, fresh mango and not too sweet — Iced cappucino — does its job Definitely worth a visit, very good food, though the price is a little on the high side for this area.

Guido’s, excellent as usual, we go back year after year. One of Cozumel’s best restaurants, with a big beautiful outdoor garden seating. The complementary pizza garlic bread(Danish butter, rosemary and garlic) was excellent as usual. I started off with the Lychee Martini, the best. We ordered Beef Carpaccio(angus filet with basil pesto on a bed of greens) Ravioli(stuffed with sweet potato with ricotta, smoked almonds & truffle oil), Pizza Margareta(tomato sauce & slices of mozzarella & fresh basil), Pizza San Miguel(pepperoni and oregano) and Filet of Pork(black cherry glaze, Brie sauce with roasted cauliflower, serranos, garlic and chocolate). Not one complaint. Service, atmosphere and food all excellent.

Nice restaurant with a relaxing main dining room along with an open air dining patio in the back. I like the inside as it is a break from the heat. I have eaten here three times in 8 days. The staff is attentive or at least better than most waiters that live on «island time». Everything I have eaten has been great. The wood fired pizzas are thin and just perfectly crunchy. One pizza is perfect for a hungry man and small kids could split it. The spaghetti and lasagna is great. The carbonara is also very good. Can’t go wrong here. Stays open till 11.

Guidos — a Perfect break from Mexican food while in Cozumel — adore Mexican food but this was a great find — lovely fresh pastas with everything from Veggies to seafood even pulled pork and everything freshly made — piece de resistance was fresh mahi mahi in capers and olives with light fettuccine and veggies– the starter of salad caprese had delicious mozarella and tomatoes and beef carpaccio made all the more tasty with their garlic bread that appears to be baked pizza dough. Add yummy versions of a dark and stormy and cherry Lemonade with bourbon, a homey and boozy bananas flambé — really attentive staff and a pretty garden and you’re set for a great meal, great time.

This is our second trip to Cozumel and our second time at Guido’s. Both experiences were memorable. The wait staff is always friendly and very accomodating. The restaurant itself may not look like much from the street but once you go inside you will see the beauty. The outdoor seating area is filled with plants and trees, perfect mood lighting and music. As for the food… I know Italian food in Cozumel? Honestly both times we have eaten here we were on the last day of our trip and looking for something different than the rest of the island food. The pastas are fresh and homemade, the sauces are very tasty as well. Our friends had a plate of spaghetti, pizza and raved about how fresh everything was. I had the seafood skewer plate and actually could not finish it because there was so much fresh seafood ont he plate. We left full and happy which is always a plus.

Oooh Guido’s was a treat! A definite go-to place in Cozumel. We had reservations for our large group and were seated in the back courtyard which was a really nice setting. Definitely make reservations if you are coming with a large group because this place packs out quickly. The ambiance is understated classy yet casual so you can come as you are but it feels as though it is a bit of an event. So I had a drink on the specialty cocktail menu called Yvonne’s(the owner) something-or-other. It was chock full of alcohol which is 100% the way I like it. For food, we started with some garlic bread which is like a garlicky flat bread. Yum. They have other starters and salads to choose from as well. Entrees range from fish to lasagne and spaghetti carbonara that you can get with lobster. I had something on the special menu — duck — and it was excellent. I also tried bites off everyone’s plate and was pleased. Waiter was a doll and worked his ass off for our group. They will definitely split checks as well. Overall I enjoyed the entire experience here and will definitely be back when I go back to Cozumel.
