Ristorante La Funete, oh what a blessing. After eating mierda comida on friday evening, bunch of us half hungover people ventured el norte for some hope. In that we had to escape the gabacha filled resort food, and look deeper within la corazon de playa de rosarito for some local loving(and no i don’t mean hookers or donkeys people, that would come later). Our initial options was potentially a local birria place, but the most mexican of our group had stumbled upon here. The service was exquisite. They don’t speak English. The food was decent. Beans — not a big fan. Flour tortilla — homemade of course did have a different flavor to it. When it’s freshly baked or grilled, just wonderful. Chilaquiles — pretty good(had samples) Pancakes — super fluffy!!! this was delicious as the batter was different. Coffee — mexican coffee = cinnamon after taste. Omlette — i had the steak ommie and it came with tomato, cebolla, peppers, chiles, and queso. Chile(as in salsa) — was super spicy!!! This was a wonderful place to eat bfast, lunch, or brunch. Highly recommend if in the vicinity!!!
