TACOSFROMHEAVEN. I’ve only been here once on the way back from Ensenada en route to LA. I saw the sign for 13 peso tacos and feeling peckish, decided to give them a shot. I had very low expectations, especially after having eaten at fancy places in the Valle de Guadalupe. BUT, boy, did these tacos deliver. Huge, delicious, good quality; basically, everything you could ever want in a taco. Whenever I have fish tacos at various hipster places in LA, I am now convinced they are never as good as the ones I had here.

AMAZING!!! These tacos are fulfill with flavor and awesomeness. They are HUGE for the price and really tasty. The enchilado is definitely spicy, but if you don’t like spicy you can go with a governador, which is the same but without the kick. There fish tacos are good as well. The aguas frescas are delicious, specially the tamarindo one. The place it’s outdoors and it has a plenty of parking space. When you go to Rosarito it’s a must to come here.

This is a new restaurant in Playas de Rosarito. There are six locations in Tijuana. This place is huge and can easily seat a few hundred people. The parking lot is huge. It is an open-air facility with a shaded cover and umbrellas, lots of tables and chairs. There are at least 6 people working in the kitchen preparing food. There are 5 – 6 servers who are most helpful and some speak better English than many Unilocalers. This place has a real energy about it. It welcomes big family and friend groups, so it will be a success. It has very low prices for some delicious seafood dishes. They have an extensive menu and will make things that are not on the menu, all the time, just ask.
It is actually across the freeway from McDonald’s whose sign can be seen from the freeway for a long distance. There is a bridge that connects the east and west sides of Playas de Rosarito at the McDonald’s, to find Titos you need only drive over the bridge to the east side of town. They have a huge banner to locate their business. THEFOOD The menu is impressive. The freshness of the ingredients is equally impressive. The speed of service is lightning fast with the server taking the order and another person delivering your food, all of which takes less than 5 minutes. My waiter suggested that I try the New York taco for $ 2.50. It is a thin slice of steak that nearly covered the tortilla, with shrimp, mushrooms, avocado and crema covering the steak. The whole thing is supported by a tortilla which is on top of a slightly grilled tortilla(2 tortillas in total) which gives it a great taste and strong support for what is a HEAVY taco. The meat was tender and the other ingredients worked great with it. The grilled tortilla made the whole thing work well. After wolfing that specialty, my waiter and I discussed 3 – 4 other specialties not on the menu, but I was shocked when I heard the low prices for the items. If you try this place, I would suggest the camarones costa azul which are stuffed shrimp. It sounded like the right thing, but I did not have the stomach space. Instead I chose just the 80 cent fish taco. I saw one on a plate nearby and remarked to him that it was huge. Also, the one I saw was covered in guacamole. After some back and forth, I chose to go without the guacamole because it looked too big to eat by hand.
I was right. There were three big pieces of battered fish in the taco, and I had to eat the middle one by fork just to get the tortilla to wrap around the other two. It was still a challenge to eat by hand. 80 cents. The batter on the fish was significantly heavier and thicker than the best fish taco place 10 miles south of town — Mariscos la Alegria, but the overall menu at Tito’s cannot be beat. I had spent $ 4 with tip and rolled out of Titos very happy.
