Hotel El Cortez

The place is too price! Rooms need upgrade very bad!!! The locations is perfect by the beach. That’s the only reason we stay here. Walking distance from hotel room to beach!

There were some pretty poor reviews on Tripadvisor but mostly regarding bookings. I arrived on a Sunday and the place was just clearing out. There were a few stragglers at the pool on Monday but they were gone around noon. After that I pretty much had the place to myself and it was really pleasant. The rooms are nice with good A/​C. Maids were very nice and accommodating. My only complaint is the TV, it is a very small 15″ with limited channels and the remote did not work. That just gave me more time to read. I was able to get a reduced rate at checkin than what I was quoted when I made the reservation. There are a lot of good restaurants in town and one at the hotel. All accommodate the use of Dollars. Being right on the beach is a real plus.

We were very disappointed about our hotel room. We got there at 11 they give us the keys. When we open the door the room was a mess. The blankets were on the floor. Bathroom was disgusting. We talk to the person in the office he said the room was going to ve ready by 1. We went to eat we got there at 3 the room was still the same. We told them we had a baby who was really uncomfortable to be in the car. The staff member didn’t care. We end up going to another hotel. They didn’t return our money back. I wouldn’t give one start but we are required to give at least one.

Room was quite big, very clean and the food was good. We would definitely return. Great location, right on the beach
