I found the hotel when I was searching online for a hotel in San Felipe. Hubby and I went during Labor Day weekend. Before booking with them I email them and spoke with a staff to make sure the hotel was in an area near the beach, restaurants and shops. The staff are very friendly. The room is not fancy but they have what you need. most important AC San Felipe is super hot, day and night. Our priority was the AC and drinkable water. When we checked in they gave us neon bracelets which gives us access to a near by ranch. We also got a voucher each for a drink at the hotels bar/restaurant. We had our drinks and some delicious pizza. The hotel is walking distance to the malecon(boardwalk). Restaurants are near the boardwalk, as well as a 7-eleven, OXXO(similar to 7-eleven). Once you walk to the ocean it’s very warm, It usually takes me a good 10 minutes to get my body all the way in to the water but not in San Felipe waters. Water is soo warm we could stay in for about half hour and then take a break. You see boat people who offer their services for a boat ride, or a banana ride. I never had a banana ride so we did and it was very fun! We went to the ranch that gives us access due to our stay at the hotel. Let me tell you this place was very far and the taxi is pricey. We negotiated with the taxi driver down to $ 15, once we got to the ranch which was in the middle of nowhere, we decided to get his cell phone number for him to pick us up. That was the best decision we ever made b/c due to the lack of taxis in the area we would had to asked someone at the ranch to give us a ride back. Now we know why the taxi is pricey. We came to San Felipe during Labor weekend and figure we would see tons of tourist. We were very wrong we did see a crow but not as big as you usually see on a long weekend like Labor Day. They had a ceviche fest but even with that event not many people came to the event. I would love to come back but this super hot weather makes it hard for me to survive. The heat had us super sick, to the point we couldn’t leave the room due to dehydration and we had an upset tummy. Thank you San Felipe and the staff from the hotel for having us.

Rating des Ortes: 2 San Ysidro, CA
Clean rooms and friendly staff, but very old and run-down. CRT TVs, loud A/C units, and no pool. Convenient to walk to the malecon. Two separate buildings across the street from each other.
