Came to this compound as a guest of a time-share owner. Very nice, fully-applianced room and adequate space in the room. We had a high water-front room and saw some brilliant sunsets. Pools were great, and staff assisted with umbrellas for shade and loungers. The ocean waterfront shore is a very steep decline to the water, and the undertow will toss you as you try to exit the ocean. Not recommended for the weak swimmer. Front Desk folks were very helpful, and assisted on several items. Transportation was easy to arrange, and I was thankful for the security at the grounds gates. Onsite grocery, souvenir, ice cream, and jewelry shops were reasonably priced. We went«downtown» to the marina for dinner at Lorenzillo’s – a beautiful restaurant, great fresh seafood, and excellent service – highly recommend. Local street-front souvenier shopping was OK: many shops whiped out by previous hurricane… did find a nearby shops-neighborhood-cluster and haggled for great deals. Local taxis were abundant and courteous. Don’t miss this Las Playas resort and Cabo marina.

Wifey and I needed a quick and affordable stay for a night after our incoming flight to San Jose del Cabo airport, so we ended up at Las Palmas. The hotel lobby was clean, and the staff was friendly with helping us check-in. The reservation number I had did not match their records, but thankfully there’s free wifi in the lobby for you to use. The room was a bit small, but it was only for one night so it didn’t matter. The only thing that really sucked was that the room was SO far at the end of the building and there was only one way to get down to reception, so it was a bit of a walk just to go anywhere. Free breakfast cards are provided upon check-in and it’s right by the pool area. Nothing special, but free nonetheless. Walmart, Burger King, Subway, and a MEGA store are all right across the street which was nice. My tip? Avoid the BK at all costs! Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay… but definitely just an entry-level type of hotel for the price.

I stayed here for a week while I was in Cabo. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time here, as my dad was staying at another resort. But the accommodations were nice. Security: There’s a guard at the front for everyone coming in and out. So, that’s comforting. Rooms: It was large. I had one room, two bath, with a kitchen, a living room(with a full pull-down bed), and a patio. Everything was nice. But there was a funky smell. My dad said he thought it was coming from water damage. All the fixtures and everything were really nice. Grounds: Everything was nicely manicured. Beach: Swimmers beware. The section of the shore they’re on is really steep. If you’re trying to get back out of the water, RUN. You will get brought down my the waves, and it will not be pretty. Pool: So many people. There was a slide and a kid pool. But I never really went in. There were just so many people, and it was a funky color. Food: Can’t vouch for it. The only nights I ate here, I ate the fresh tuna we caught that day!
