Unfortunately, Cliff (owner/​chef) died and this place closed. Cliff was great and served the best sushi in SJD. Now, we go to the sushi restaurant in Plaza Pescador (across from the Cabo Azul resort).

I try really hard not to be a Vancouver sushi snob.
This place really is great. They also were willing to deliver to my place a few times. They have an English menu online.
I am not a big fan of cream cheese in sushi so skipped some of the specialty rolls that are beautifully presented. I LOVED the option to make any sushi tempura, the Teriyaki stir-fry’s and Yakemeshi’s. Also INCREDIBLY scrumptious and refreshing is the Cucumber Sunomuno salad.
The Tokyo Thai rolls hit the spot as well!

Just ate at mi sushi for the first time though I have gone by many times.
Good news: friendly staff
Bad news: horrible food! Rice in a California roll was SO dry tasted days old. Actually my home rice cooker holds rice better one day after cooking than this rice.
Thai vegetable roll tasty but difficult to eat. Falls apart any way you try to pick it up.

Mi Sushi in San Jose is by far the best! Don’t get me wrong during tourist season this little sushi restaurant is packed and you could get turned away, as I did my first attempt. But boy was it worth the wait.
Very nice staff, very accommodating, if you ask you shall receive. I like spicy rolls and I always ask the chef to make something special and they always deliver. Take a look at the take out, the best presentation for sushi take-​out I’ve ever received!
Congratulations to everyone at Mi Sushi for serving outstanding sushi consistently!

Awesome Sushi!
We brought in some Tuna that we caught fishing. They made 4 different kinds of rolls and we also ordered shrimp and vegetable tempura served with a curry sauce. Everything was so delicious. And they were so accommodating in what we wanted to do with our Tuna! Very friendly staff with outstanding food. Highly recommend and we will be back!
