One & Only Palmilla

Was guest last week in October and top notch resort. Perfect in almost every way. Gratuity is included in daily rate so you really don’t need to tip more unless someone does something above and beyond. We have been trying to get to Cabo since 2001 and so happy we finally made it. Location, service, food and an experience of a lifetime. The front desk locked us out our room since we settled the charges early so was a little disappointed obviously. AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts does it again.

As soon as I win the lotto I am coming here to stay for a long time. There is a reason all the rich and famous come here. You cannot beat the amenities, service and ambiance. It’s a 12 star resort (if there was such a thing)

I absolutely loved our stay at the Palmilla. Yes, the Pedregal is very nice.
So is the Rosewood.
However, the One and Only, after their recent renovation — has gone from being in need of an update to the top resort in Cabo. Its breathtaking. From the gracious and generous service, to the setting, grounds, retail, food, drinks and spa — this place is a must-​do for us and an annual pilgrimage to Cabo will now become an annual visit to the Palmilla.
The rooms are now beautifully appointed, and amongst trees and sea views, quiet and tranquil, with lovely bathrooms and walk in closets. The outdoor terraces (Premier Oceanfront) are a great place for sundown drinks or breakfast. The welcome Veuve Clicquot and daily amenities are a nice touch.
The spa is one of the best. I have seen outdoor rock showers and cold plunge pools — but this place has both, making the sauna and infused steam, even better. They have great treatment rooms and services of the highest order — but be careful. Its very easy to drop a few grand if you get carried away and yet somehow, you really dont mind. The facilities and ambiance of the place gets as peaceful and relaxing as I have ever been and you dread the flight home.
Well done Peter and Co. The devastation has well and truly led to the Palmilla once again being the cream of the Cabo crop.

My hubby and I researched several resorts before finally deciding on O&O Palmilla for our 10^th anniversary. We’re so glad we did — this resort provided one of our most memorable hotel stays ever.
O&O’s location is in the prime Palmilla area, in the tourist corridor between San Jose del Cabo and CSL. They have an amazing beachfront property overlooking the Sea of Cortez and San Jose del Cabo, with a private swimmable beach and gorgeous infinity pools. The resort itself has a rustic and quaint atmosphere, historic structures and eco-​conscious grounds. They have great restaurants and a top-​notch spa, which (while expensive) provided a peaceful sanctuary with private cabanas and open-​air massage tables. Most junior suites have balconies overlooking the sea of Cortez.
However, what O&O really prides itself in is first-​class service. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hotel director and his entourage, who toured us around the property and checked us in-​room while we enjoyed our tequila by the balcony. They also provide butler services — our butler offered to unpack our luggage while we relaxed by the pool. When we got back, our clothes were neatly folded or hung, our shoes and accessories were neatly lined up, and mood music turned on for us to enjoy with the complimentary snacks and fruits.
Their guest service staff (Chaselle, in particular) also helped my hubby plan a surprise private ceremony to celebrate our 10^th. Despite the last-​minute planning and changes, everything turned out perfectly — as I walked down the cobblestone path filled with rose petals, with the musical director playing our favorite songs on his guitar, and my hubby waiting by the cliffside as the sun set on the sea of Cortez, I felt like the luckiest woman on earth.
The day after our anniversary, Hurricane Odile hit Cabo. This is where O&O went above and beyond expectation. We were one of the stranded passengers who couldn’t get a flight out. O&O had several of their staff assisting guests at the airport, and for those who couldn’t make it out (us included), they hired private charter buses to drive us all the way to San Diego. We were chaperoned by none other than their head of butler services who gave his best effort to keep up calm through our almost 30-​hour ride through Baja California, 5 military checkpoints, rugged towns and Tijuana.
We will forever be grateful to the O&O staff who provided exceptional service during our entire stay. We hope that you and the rest of Cabo can recover quickly from this catastrophe, and when you do, we will gladly return to relive one of our most memorable experiences.

There aren’t enough stars to give to this magical resort. From the minute we stepped out of the airport we had a car (Hummer) and driver waiting for us with cold waters, towels, Evian water spray to cool our face and wi fi in the car. After a 15 min drive to the resort we were greeted by staff waiting with fresh fruit ice pops and a staff member ready to walk you to your suite to check you in (no waiting at a front desk) and introduce you to your butler. Our butler Margarita unpacked for us so we could head straight to the pool. The pool staff is ready to get you comfortable with towels, pillows, ice, waters and umbrellas for shade. Yoaquin goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy at the pool, he’s amazing and such a hard worker ! Joel is the pool bartender and is always smiling and happy and makes the best drinks in Cabo. The suites are beautiful and fully stocked with everything you might need and if there’s something else you might want just let them know and they will bring it. I have to mention Antonio the resort manager and Sebastian the director of rooms. They go all out to make sure your stay is perfect. I’ve been lucky enough to have been here 8 times and each visit is better and better. Thank you Palmillia Resort I’ll be back soon.

I earned a trip here for work and it was simply amazing! 5-​Star service and gorgeous views. You have a butler if wanted, and they are the friendliest people and work very hard (Tip them well!) the infinity pool was awesome — live whale watching while having a frozen coconut drink in the pool was like no other experience. Volleyball on the beach, late night fires by the water, a nice massage at the spa made it a quite enjoyable trip. Vacation like never before!
