We were craving Asian food and were taken by the cute décor and location of Saigon. Luckily, they weren’t busy and the service was fairly fast. We got the edamames saltaedos, very tasty. We also had the Thai Pe Shrimp, they were very delicious! I was craving Pad Thai noodles but was disappointed when I got my order… the shrimp weren’t deveined and had a grainy taste to it the sauce was too sweet and the torta de huevo that holds the noodles was lacking flavor and was over cooked. My daughter ordered the Stir fry chicken and that was another disappointment… it was over cooked and dry. She did not enjoy it at all. The chow mein noodles that my daughter ordered were flavorful but again the shrimp was not deveined and had a grainy taste to it. The aesthetics of this place makes it seem as if it’s a top notch place and well that is what’s expected from the food ordered. Don’t get me wrong, we really enjoyed the appetizers therefore I gave this place 4 stars. I truly hope this was just a slip from that day’s kitchen staff. we will give it another try once we have experienced other places in SLP.
