13 Cielos

Delicious! We had the cebolla soup, insalata mixta, pollo a la lena. Also a dessert that I have no idea what exactly it was but it involved homade icecream and a tube of powdery sweet cinnamon and was divine. Everything was perfect. I don’t really understand why the restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night when we ate. Coming from New Orleans, a meal like this would cost twice as much and require a reservation. FML, maybe I should move to SMA.

The service and ambiance were phenomenal here but sadly the food did not measure up. We started off with the gorditas… which were small and maybe only about half full of meat. The presentation was executed well though and the sauce was yummy — But it really just needed a little more flavor… we found ourselves covering them with the salsa. Our real let down was the entrée… we had a pork dish (called the Tuna roja y Chipotle) which was a SUPER dried out pork cut that was REALLY tough to eat. The sauce was interesting and different but couldn’t disguise the mediocrity of the dish. The side of veggies was not totally cooked and the salad was just boring. I think this restaurant has a lot of potential but unfortunate it did not deliver for us.

La mejor atención que he recibido en san miguel. Los platillos que probé de 13 cielos fueron excelentes.

13 Cielos es un restaurante mexicano de platillos tradicionales con un giro moderno. Los perfumes y fusiones de sabor hacen una carta limitada pero hecha con toda la mano. Disfrutamos mucho la entrada de gorditas de pato. Segundos platos, lechón y rosso estuvieron bien pero nada fuera de lo ordinario. Para postre el tumbagón con helado nos hizo suspirar; no hubo tiempo para una foto.

En San Miguel he visitado varios restaurantes y es difícil decidir cual es el mejor, todos son muy lindos, buen menú entre otros detalles, aunque no había visto este restaurante, desde la fachada, me parece un lugar elegante, decidimos entrar y de verdad me enamoré, una decoración rústica, elegante, fresca, muy agradable el lugar, es ideal para ir con tu pareja, ya que tiene este toque romántico, aunque también sí vienes con tus amigos o familia vas a disfrutar de estar en este lugar, es amplio y puedes venir en cualquier plan, es un restaurante que se adapta bastante bien.
Mi novio y yo fuimos y la atención es muy buena, muy atento todo el personal y educado, ¡esto se agradece siempre!
El menú es sencillo pero esto lo hace especial, porque los platillos tienen calidad. De entrada nos ofrecieron una gordita con un brote de alfalfa y perfume de salsa molcajeteada, no te puedes ir sin probarlas.
En el menú puedes encontrar platillos como tuna roja y chipotle, lechón, ensaladas, cremas y caldos, etcétera. Y de postre ¡déjate sorprender! ya que son elaborados con ingredientes de temporada y estos pueden variar, esto me parece especial.
El restaurante cuenta con su propia cava y también tiene pinturas, si te gusta alguna la puedes comprar.
El Chef Pablo Domínguez es el responsable de crear estos platillos, y personalmente nos dio la atención, un joven muy agradable y profesional. Tienes que visitar este lugar si vienes a San Miguel, definitivamente.
