Calimax

In recent months, I’ve been traveling to Mexico to volunteer at an orphanage in Tijuana. On the most recent trip, our group stopped off at Calimax, to pick up some ice cream for the kids.
The store was immaculate. The floors were clean and shiny and the shelves were stocked, neat and labeled. Staff were present, friendly and each one greeted me and offered assistance. If not for the staff and other customers, I would have wondered if the store was open or if I were dreaming. I didn’t check out the produce or meat departments so I can’t and won’t comment on them. Ample parking in the private lot however, the spaces are very narrow.
Anyway, I’m not saying this is the benchmark of how all stores should be but this Calimax is one I’d definitely shop at for all of my grocery needs if I lived in the area.
I opted not to take pictures of the place because I didn’t want the locals thinking I was weird.

Calimax altabrisa, es la sucursal más cercana a mi casa, y es donde voy usualmente a comprar mi despensa para toda la semana. En éste lugar es de esas tiendas donde puedes encontrar casi de todo, ya que cuenta con panadería, carnicería, farmacia, lácteos, latas, artículos escolares, de limpieza, artículos para mascotas, para fiestas, botanas, nieves, artículos para bebé, mujeres, higiene personal, belleza, dulcería, vinos, artículos para hacer postres, decoración, y muchas cosas más.
En lo personal, prefiero ir a éste Calimax, más que al florido, soriana u otra tienda en especial, ya que la mayoría del tiempo hay ofertas donde te llevas varios artículos por un bajo precio, honestamente confío en la calidad de los productos aunque sean baratos y comparado con otros mercados, Calimax me resulta el mejor.
Por otra parte, el personal siempre se ha portado amable y servicial, eso hace que tenga una buena imagen de la empresa.
Si no sueles comprar en Calimax, te invito a que hagas una comparación con otros mercados y veas la diferencia, puede que después me lo agradezcas.
