Stopped in here for breakfast. We got chilaquiles and machaca. We collectively ranked the food as OK, the OJ and coffee were quite good. Service was great. Worth a visit for sure.

Stopped by for tamales last night but learned they only serve these on Saturday and Sunday so didn’t stay. Looks like we will be here for our last night in Todos Santos. Can’t pass up the best tamales. Returned this morning for breakfast. The huevos rancheros were superb. We also had a dish with eggs served on chips that was very spicy(hot). They even served pancakes for the 5 year old in our group. Breakfast for four @ 300 pesos. Highly recommend for breakfast. I’ll let you know about the tamales.

I had the pleasure of going to Alma and Manny’s instead of the restaurants on the main block during a tour of Todos Santos. Cheaper with better taste than Tequila Sunrise and other places frequented by most tourists. We had the short ribs(came with four tortillas, and they provide more at no additional cost) and tacos(chicken and chorizo). Everything was delicious. If you’re ever in town on a tour going here. Avoid the spots recommended by the tour guides.

Had a combo plate with chille telling, chicken tostada and chicken enchilada. All good. Had a pork taco that was fantastic. Real coca cola. And they have bathrooms.

If you find yourself in Todos Santos Mexico during the day and your stomach starts grumbling at the sight of all the places to eat — then do yourself a favor, wander away from the main tourist area of downtown TS(don’t worry, it is safe) and come here for lunch. The Todos Santos area food scene has something for everyone. There are: — high end restaurants with authentic chefs running the place — mid-range dining options for the family on a reasonable budget — local«hole-in-the-wall» places for getting excellent food on the cheap Some specialize in garden-to-table freshness, others are seafood only, there is good italian, and various other options. Alma and Manny’s falls into the«hole-in-the-wall» category giving you very good food at a very reasonable price. It is good honest local food served at a small family run establishment. They had a little damage from the 2014 hurricane that swept through the area, so the setup is still a little funky. But they are open and turning out some tasty dishes. You can see from the more recent pictures that they now have a white partition in front of the kitchen area — the lower part where the young girl is standing in the earlier picture was damaged. And the«bar» is basically a table set up in the corner that they guy(Manny?) works mixing the margaritas or opening the cervesas. We had a chile releno and some tacos and 2 cervesa — the total given in pesos and stated verbally(no written bill) came to the equivalent of about $ 8. A great deal! Next time I am in the area I will go back for breakfast too.
