I’ve been here more times I can shake a stick at over the years simply because it’s the closest thing to my house. As far as buffet food goes it’s reasonably good, but as is often the case with a buffet some of the food just suffers from being out too long. In this respect Buffet House has declined markedly from a few years ago — I was once sick off something here for this reason. The service is also pretty average, and the premises in general are dour and in grave need of a makeover. It also isn’t that cheap anymore. However one thing keeps this place popular and that’s the seafood selection. I swear you just see people come in just for an all-you-can-eat in prawns and oysters sometimes! The oysters are just enough to sway me to give this place three stars, but it’s a close run thing. Call it a 2.5.
