It so happened that I went to this restaurant thrice in 20 days and one thing I like the most of all is the staff’s. They are friendly, helpful… First time — we enjoyed a lot, gr8 service, taste was exceptional Second time — Service took long time, food we couldn’t enjoy as service was late so we had to rush. Third time — went with my friends and service was fast but there is huge difference in the taste(even ee tried few that we tried first time). None of my friends enjoyed that’s much. Consistency is the key ingredient …:)

All I ever get from Chapati is the naan bread, that is all. It is absolutely delicious and is a time saver. You know those days when you don’t feel like eating rice or potatos or sadza(traditional food) and you just want something different to have with your stew? Well that’s how I feel from time to time and I find myself calling Chapati for take away naan bread. It is so fresh and delicious, it tastes like it’s come out of the oven rather than out of a sealed supermarket bag! This is a surprising for a place that is next to a dairy and a seedy looking motel. I guess looks/location aren’t really a factor when you are serving up deliciousness.

One of the many things I miss about living in London is having a good curry house nearby. There are a few Indian restuarants in the Te Atatu/Henderson area but in my opinion they are not great. Don’t get me wrong, the food is adequate but nothing special if you are used to the good stuff. I am surprised there are not more good Indian restaurants out West as there are a lot of Indian people who live out this way. I like the Sag dishes when I get Indian — this is curry cooked with Spinach. For some reason the one I got at the Chapati was pureed and was not as nice. The naan bread was really good however and the rice — well it’s hard to cock up pilau rice isn’t it? Having said that, Chapati is normally busy on the weekends and there is a good atmosphere.
