The café looks nice, but the service and the food is below average. Flat white’s froth is awful, I didn’t even recognise it. It makes me wonder why they didn’t remake it on the first place? Looks like they don’t care. Ordered an apple and walnut cake and the cashier asked me twice if I wanted it warmed. I said yes. I got it cold and needed to ask them again. The taste of the coffee was all right, that’s why it’s not one star.

I have been coming to Cova Café for the past 6 years or so. After trying out many different cafes in Auckland, I can now say that this is the absolute best place to come for a coffee and to try one of their baked goods. I usually order either a Hot Chocolate or Mocha and ask for it to be extra extra hot! It is always perfect. I have never had a problem with it being lukewarm or not being strong enough. After coming here for a long time, the Barista now knows we like our coffee extra hot, so we no longer have to ask. Another delight is if you order a hot chocolate, you get a chocolate fish and marshmallow on the side. If you order a Mocha, you still get the chocolate fish. These accompaniments are best dunked into your drink! If you’re not into coffee or hot drinks, then I recommend trying one of their Chocolate Chip Cookies — you will see them in a big glass jar on top of the counter. They are the most chewy, moist and tasty cookies I have tried at any café. Another tasty treat is their Raspberry Muffins — they are so good! If you haven’t tried out Cova’s coffee, then I reckon you should go very soon!

Came to Cova to get a quick takeaway coffee cause I thought I’d avoid the corporate Starbucks for a change. My Caramel Latte wasn’t too bad and would be better if they hadn’t put too much syrup in there. Décor would have been nice to take in if I had time to sit down and would be a great place to relax during shopping.

I think people go here because it is convenient being located within 277, it feels like a food court more than a café to me and having been here several times(not by choice) I can say I would not go back by choice. I had meetings here, it was convenient for those people I was meeting with so Cova it was, but so blah. The coffee is nothing great, each time it was not hot enough or strong enough. I only ordered a short black, so simple yet they just can’t make you a good one. The seating is not the best, small tables that are quite close to each other and because you are pretty much in the mall entrance there are people walking around everywhere, it can get quite cold and noisy too. Basically it is uncomfortable. Cova is probably a better option than the café that is in food court, I had coffee there and it was terrible. I don’t know what I was thinking. Malls do not have good cafes. So the moral of the story is the mall is just for shopping, not for coffee or eating, you won’t get anything decent.
