Denny’s

Sunday night dinner at Denny’s pretty quiet in the restaurant but d staff were really friendly and nice. Love the menu total American style like sizzlers and chillis. The curly fries with the aioli sauce for starters was simply delicious. I ordered the surf and turf with fries and salad and the steak was cooked to perfection just how I like it medium rare. Chicken sizzler was yum too and overall a pleasant dining experience with nice views, ample parking and not pricy at all. We all had an enjoyable time. Recommend for a quiet dinner with family and friends

Very good for a 6 buck brekky of eggs hash brown and toast bottomless filter coffee way cheaper option dinner is less great when compared to brekky and the evenings can be a tad loud when all the families dinning.

I’ve been to this Denny’s quite a few times, not too many in recent years though, more as a teenager with a restricted drivers license going to hang out with friends and eat junk food, as you do.
That’s my opinion of Denny’s pretty much. They serve junk food. It’s like a McD’s on a grander scale with nicer seats, alcohol (although the French McD’s is ahead of us there) and a lovely view of a duck pond at the Takapuna branch.
Good for a nice cheap indulgence meal once in a while but not a place I’d make a habit of visiting.

It’s awesome that this place is open all the time, including public holidays. I went here on Good Friday last year, and had a delicious, well-​priced breakfast. The staff informed us there would be a $ 2 surcharge due to it being a holiday, and fair enough too! Despite being quite busy, they were attentive and friendly the whole time, which is not normally my impression of Denny’s Restaurants.
The décor is a tad drab and the menu not that exciting. Still, it’s a cheap meal at any time convenient to you. Don’t expect anything more than your usual burgers, steak and stir fry — it’s just a home cooked style meal that you don’t have to make yourself.

I haven’t been to Denny’s in years and I think I only ever went once, but this weekend we decided to try it as its also near some shops we wanted to go to.
Well its actually not too bad, I quite liked it, totally great for kids, they have a great kids menu and a good normal menu with a bit of variety in it. I got the eggs Benedict with hash brown — its a real hash brown with grated potatoe, and my husband got the chicken fajitas skillet which comes with an egg omelette and chicken on top as well as cubes of potatoes, we were both actually pleasantly surprised, my husband really liked his and said it had good flavour. Plus we got some pancakes and they were pretty good. We got all of this for $ 36.00 to feed 2 adults plus a toddler, price range is about $ 5-​$ 27.00
Its also very reasonably priced and most meals come with tea or coffee and you get refills, so if you have kids and want somewhere with cheap but still good food then Denny’s is the place. Its also great if you don’t have kids. They also had this guy there giving the kids cool balloons, my daughter got a flower and he was also doing face painting.
This Denny’s also has a nice outlook onto a pond. Denny’s really is a great family restaurant and we will be going back there.
