The best spot in Orakei! Adorable café that makes some of the best coffee in Auckland — not just Orakei! Their baked goods are always so fresh and tasty, and everything on their made to order menu is to die for. Not to mention, everyone there is so kind and friendly. Love this place!

Stumbled across another gem of a café this morning. The recently opened Good Day is a must visit! I ordered a Red Rabbit Coffee Co. filter coffee and it came served in this wicked cool coffee cup! A coffee cup you love to wrap your hands around and hold on a cold Auckland day. The service at this café was beyond excellent with free coffee top ups continually coming my way until I finally had to say no 3 cups in. The friendly lady’s brewing the coffee know there stuff and make an excellent coffee. They also offer Coffee Supreme and Carew Kitchen milk which is like the cherry on top for this awesome café and it’s awesome coffee mugs :)

Great little addition to the eastern suburbs from ex-Dizengoff staff Jackie and Dan. The kitchen is pint sized so the menu is simple. Simple but delicious, if their poached eggs with sardines are anything to go by. There is a nice selection of sweet treats from the cabinet and the coffee is as good as you’d expect from the owners, given their years in one of Ponsonby’s best cafés. White walls, light wood furniture and fresh flowers in glasses create a Scandinavian vibe. As they continue to experiment with the menu, I look forward to more good days at this cool little place.

A+ from start to finish. Jackie & Dan make this place feel like home, by memorizing people’s names and drink orders(even those of my friends who were only in town for 2 days). Plus a bonus — there is always a dog tied up out front waiting for its owner to get their coffee, so you can probably make a new furry friend while you’re here! I’ve never had a bad coffee here — the flat white, long black, cold brew, Americano, and my fave, the filter, are always all spot on. The price seems completely on par for coffee shops on Auckland. They have a small but solid food menu, and plenty of little bakery snacks in the glass to choose from. You should stick around and enjoy your drink & treats in the small but welcoming dining area. The décor is light woods and minimal greenery, I could spend a whole day in here. You should swing by, but don’t be surprised if it’s crowded! It’s a small shop and it’s no secret to us neighborhood locals.
