Perfectly nice. We went for a family birthday. Small venue but roomy. Friendly staff who were happy to give advice to Grandma on her order. We sat at the bench in front of hot plates, ideal on a cold winter night. Just one criticism… the same prawn dish in the entrée as the main. A good place for a chatty crowd. Will go again.

Delicious! Chef is amazing and very attentive. He timed each dish perfectly and performed some awesome tricks for us to watch. The prawns are definitely a must order and the steak is also good — very tender and flavorful. The ingredients were high quality and very fresh. To top it off, prices and service were great. I really wish we had a teppanyaki place as good as this at home, and can easily say this was the best meal of my New Zealand/​Australia trip.
Tldr stop by if you’re in the area! :)

So far the best teppanyaki place i’ve eaten in new zealand. Place is small but service is great and chef takeshi is amazing at cooking his food! If you’re after a teppanyaki style dining, then i recommend you try heizo out!
