A cute little spot on Albert Street for a quick morning coffee, the table decoration impressed me more than my coffee which was pricey, at $ 5.50 for a relatively small mocha, and not overwhelmingly delicious. The coffee is organic and there’s a range of milk options for the health minded crowd; a short but serviceable menu and pastry cabinet appeared just right for the space. I’d be prepared to give it another go, as there was nothing particularly wrong with my experience but perhaps I needed to have my coffee as dine in to really experience the atmosphere. Then again, with so many options for a morning coffee in the city, they’d have to be something special to secure a return visit so soon.

Gem of a hole-in-the-wall coffee joint, conveniently close to the Auckland District Court on the public service side of Auckland CBD. This place makes Kokako coffee as it should be — hot and strong. Nice choice of Bird on a Wire salads for takeaway lunch and a few Best Ugly Bagel varieties on hand if you can’t make the hike two block hike to Federal Deli for your bagel fix. Fit out is minimal. There’s one big shared table with metal stools, but despite its size this place is a pretty inviting place.

Another great find! ‘Kaffeine’ is a tiny café sporting one communal table & stools — coffee by Kokako made by an excellent barista, mini boxed Legos for sale — all superhero & cartoon figures starting at $ 17. The space is urban, chic and arty. I’ve tried the bagels, gorgeous blackberry & custard muffins and a few other goodies to boot. Service is friendly and super efficient. Loving my new local!

Cutest new little café on the block! Love how they have decorated the space, it’s small but adorable. My favourite thing about Kaffeine is the great array of products they stock… They really must of done their homework. From Kokako coffee to Bird on a Wire salads to those lovely teas in the gorgeous old school tins(the name escapes me.) Nothing but the best for Kaffeine Will be spoilt for choice on my morning coffee run now

Only two weeks old and as cute as a button, Kaffeine offers city workers coffee and simple meals. With coffee from Kokako and a display cabinet filled with freshly made sandwiches, Ugly bagels and soon salads, you could either grab something to go or perch on the small communal table. I especially like the vintage chairs, table and signage that give this space a unique feel.
