Kevin Kilsby Ceramics

I live in Denver, Colorado but have been in New Zealand over 12 times.
I came across a few mugs with a Kiwi (bird) by Kevin Kilsby listed on eBay. Well, I bought those 3 up so decided to check for «the source».
I wrote to the store listed online and Kevin himself wrote me back! He had a place setting of what I was looking for (more Kiwi’s) and in less than a week received his beautiful work!
He did this just as he was preparing to go on an overseas trip! I cannot wait until he returns to his shop to put in my next order! Well done Kevin!

I first became aware of Kevin Kilsby’s ceramic artwork when I was given one of his mugs as a birthday present when I was fourteen. Since then I see his creations popping up left right and centre!
Kilsby’s pieces are all created from white clay that is then hand painted and fired, his ceramics are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use and should last forever. Though, be warned just because it’s strong doesn’t mean it will withstand being dropped — something I found out the hard way :(
Kevin Kilsby’s work is all very Kiwi inspired — pohutukawa flowers, pukekos, korus, tuis, beaches — his work reflects New Zealand’s beauty. I admit I love having his mugs and platters in my house — I’m proud to have them on display.
Kilsby’s store is located on Richardson Road in Owairaka, so there is plenty of free parking on the street — take some time to explore his store and appreciate his beautiful work.
