If you are in desperate need of a game of mini-putt then visit Lilliput, however it is in great need of an overhaul — the old course anyway. The artificial felt of each hole in the course is in dire straights and has been there for as long as I remember. Thankfully, there is a new course now, where the go-kart track was, providing some variation to regular customers(if there are any). It does not compare to Treasure Island out near the airport however, and on the occasion that you do play mini-golf, the effort should probably be made to head out to Mangere. An advantage is that it is centrally located and is a great plan B if an intended trip out on your boat moored at the neighbouring marina is canned due to weather.

I liked Lilluputt because I could bring my dog here. We were driving passed once on our way to Mission Bay, and decided it could be fun to stop in and have a game. It’s a pretty standard course, but you end up taking ages because it gets really packed, so maybe go when it’s not so busy. It also gets really hot if you go in summer, because it’s out in the open space and there’s no shade. It’s a good place to take the kids, because there’s always heaps of kids. It would be better if they expanded or didn’t let as many people in at a time, because waiting for your turn for ages does get frustrating.
