Ok, this isn’t as big or as well stocked as Farro up the road, but it’s a great alternative to the supermarket. I find it’s easy to pick up dinner. There’s a good butchery, deli and full selection of vegetables along with a few aisles of those special flavour ingredients that make all the difference to a meal. Disagree with previous review, I don’t think it’s more expensive. Although I do tend to buy what’s on special, adding a few treats along the way. I always feel like I’m going home with better than supermarket food for dinner. Tonight it was a handmade chicken curry pie, fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, quinoa and two bags of chocolate fudge(just because).

If you were to do a review for the Nosh in Mairangi Bay in the way a mystery shopper would do a review, then the review would read like this… The exterior of the building and all signage are new, easy to spot from all access roads and well presented. There were adequate parking spaces available and specials were clear to see on all promotional material. The interior was clean and free of dust, the aisles were clear, and you could easily pass other shoppers loitering. There were no empty shelves, and items were priced correctly. All staff members wore their uniforms with name badges, and I was acknowledged upon entry and greeted upon departure. The two dollar milk special was visible, and there were plenty of stock available. The fresh food items looked enticing, and the special offer trays were so good, I ended up buying two boxes of chocolates. If you were writing a normal review, then it would pretty much read in the same way, but you will add how the high prices damaged your bank balance. I sometimes feel a bit guilty that I only stop there to look and buy milk, but then I realize that I’m just collateral damage in a very effective marketing plan.
