Red Letter Day has classy kitsch items that would make any gift receiver happy. I originally found this shop in Matakana and was happily suprised when I was walking down Jervious and found the same shop. It has awesome items(yes perhaps slightly more than you might pay in other shops). I got my friend a cool little travel gift from there, very funky cool and authentic. I love walking past this shop, they always have interesting daily quotes written in chalk on the blackboard outside. They stock a number of classic and classy writing attire that would be suitable for someone of the older generation who still write many letters All and all a good place to shop

I am just old enough to have recieved a few personal letters before the Internet kicked in. To think that kids these days will probably never write or recieve a personal letter, not once ever. But if you are going to write a letter to somebody, might as well do it properly. Red Letter Day is where you want to go for premium pens and paper. It’s cool looking around this store, a lot of their stock has an appealing air of prestige. It’s funny that I have been using a keyboard for so long that pens and paper have actually started to look outdated, I guess particularly in Red Letter Day where their pens are a based on old fashioned designs.

Red Letter Day is a treasure trove of perfectly kitsch writing equipment for people who prefer pen and paper over an LCD and keyboard. I love to keep a journal type notepad with me to jot down ideas and meeting notes, it’s just a little more classy than writing into a school book when meeting clients and customers. Red Letter day takes the standard offering from highstreet stationers and blasts it into the boutique world with a collection of classy desk accessories and writing gear. Considering the small size of this store, I found myself in there for a staggering amount of time. My highlight is that I am well impressed that they sell ‘writing instruments’ rather than pens — awesome.
