Rose’s is a local institution for all your tailoring needs. I have only used them for adjustments to trousers, but they have done an excellent job and they have reasonable prices compared to most other alterations services in the central auckland area. I understand they do an excellent job on custom tailoring of dresses for women.

This used to be my go to alterations place but it went downhill in my opinion the last few times I visited and I have now found somewhere else. I find it very expensive, which if fine if you get the perfect end result as you are trusting them with your clothing, but sometimes I didn’t get the perfect end result. The last item I got altered here was a pair of pants and they came back too short. This was gutting because they then had to let the hem out to make them a bit longer and they just didn’t look right after, not too mention it meant I was without the pants for longer than initially expected. I’m sure the bad experiences I had here aren’t regular occurrences as I have had some excellent alterations here, but the bad ones I did have were enough to cause me to look for somewhere else and to be honest I am glad I did as I love my new place.
