The sign said fresh Bluff oysters, that was enough to get me through the door.
What might also attract customers is the huge fish floating above their massive pole signage, Scott Seafood proudly displayed underneath.
Back to the oysters, some in my household like them a la natural even with a squeeze of lemon; I like to make a simple batter and quickly fry them. Excellent served with a salad.
I’m glad I pass by this fish shop regularly on my way home from work because this is where you are guaranteed fresh when it comes to seafood. These guys have a massive warehouse behind the shop and they supply fresh and frozen takeaways, cafes and restaurants around our fair city of Auckland.
