Although I have only given this place two stars there isn’t anything drastically wrong with the food or service that I have found, it is just oily deep fried cheap food. The service is relatively friendly and fast, with several staff members generally ready to help. When I have gone in or walked past they have always had customers so it is one of the more popular takeaways in Avondale. Even the local homeless guys use to pick this place as the one to stand next to in hope of free food, which probably had more to do with the shops obscure side wall than taste preference. The more I think about it perhaps I should make Shen’s Takeaway two and a half stars???
