Te Atatu South Medical Centre

This is my local GP in Te Atatu South and I have been coming here for the last four years. There used to be 4 GPs based at this clinic but now there are only two. Fortunately, my GP stayed on and I think he’s an excellent doctor and I have complete trust in him. When I first got here I had to go through all the hassles of a medical for Immigration — the doctor was great, he smoothed it all over and made it easy for me. I have had to visit him several times since and I have always found him friendly and professional. He wasn’t there one day and I saw the female doctor and she was also very good. You can generally get an appointment the next day and are not usually left in the waiting room for very long. I think when people move to a new country, they are concerned that the healthcare is of a high standard. My dealings with this clinic have made me convinced that there is a high standard of healthcare in New Zealand which is one of many reasons that make it a good place to live.
