Fuuuunnnnnn!!! We came here for a friend’s birthday, and we all dressed up like pirates. It was ridiculous, because we weren’t 7, we were 25. Everyone looked at us like we were mental because there was about 15 of us or something like that. It’s a fun mini golf course complete with a pirate ship and an alligator in a pond. Awesome. Probably a good idea to check the weather, because we went in the middle of summer and it was bloody hot. It’s a great idea for a birthday, family outing or even for a work party. The coure itself is pretty old and probably back in its day looked amazing, but I kind of like that about it.

Yo ho yo ho, a pirate’s life for me. I’ve been coming to this mini golf course ever since it was built, and even though it has seen better days, I still enjoy thoroughly it. The water looks a bit gross now, and many of the props could use a lick of fresh paint, but the course itself is still all good. It is 36 holes, which is huge. I’ve only ever played 18 holes at a time, 36 is way too hardcore for me. Both courses are pretty challenging, especially that friggin hole that is placed at the top of the mound. This place is good for a bit of afternoon fun(and competition) with your friends. I’ll never forget the time that one of my friends tried to get his ball from the river part and slid down into the pond. Hysterical!

Adventure Mini Golf is my local and over the years I’ve probably tallied up quite a few rounds here. I’m from a family with a few younger cousins so I enjoy taking them out to places like this where kids an adults can share in the fun. You can pick from two courses; the Captain’s Course or Blackbeard’s Course. If you’re not with a big group or you’re just very patient, its cheaper to play 36 holes and makes for healthy competition between friends! I really like the way they’ve set up the course, its very animated, interactive and a real sight to see, even if you’re just driving past. It can be especially tough to play when its windy out, so I’d suggest checking the weather just in case. All in all though, its a great spot to incorporate into a family day and I’d highly recommend it for anyone keen to have little fun and competition.

Having been to many other mini golf places, Treasure Island isn’t the best, but it’s certainly got a character of its own. Located right next to Butterfly creek, it’s a quick eye catcher as you travel to the airport. Well-decorated and filled with fun additions, it squeals of Pirates of the Caribbean! The holes can be quite tricky and frustrating, and I seem to recall losing my ball a few times. It certainly unleashes your inner pirate as you ‘arrr’ every now and then at a missed hole. Afterwards, you can grab an ice cream to celebrate you victory… or bring your own bottle of rum and sing a merry old tune like Captain Jack Sparrow.

This is my favourite mini golf course in all of Auckland. Located 10 minutes walk from the Auckland airport It’s not to far out from Auckland’s CBD. With pirates, a MASSIVE pirate ship, shark infested waters, waterfalls and more, this mini golf course is magical! Perfect for the young and the young hearted. I would totally recommend making the trip out there to have a few hours of fun. There are also park benches were you can sit down with a packed lunch, or an ice cream, and enjoy the scenery. Pirates Adventure Golf is also perfect for birthday parties, corporate functions or just family bonding, as it is affordable enjoyable entertainment. Arrrrr me hearties, what’cha waiting for? Get out to the airport and get playing. Winter Hours: May to September Mon — Weds 9am to 5pm Thurs — Sun 9am to 7.30pm Summer Hours: October to April Mon — Sun 9am to 9pm
