This is my wife’s family local optician and has been for many years. I have a very good optician in Dublin that I trust and I was hoping I could find someone similar when I moved to New Zealand. I have to say that Darryl was just what I was looking for as he tested my eyes and made sure I had no problems like glaucoma. What was also very good about this Optician was that they had a great selection of eyeware. It’s important that you are relaxed and have plenty of time to pick the right pair as it’s a big decision. I spent nearly an hour trying on frames before I picked the one I was happy with and the assistant was cool with that. In the end, we both ended up buying new glasses here and have had no problems with them since. I don’t really trust the chains like Specsavers and OPSM, I’d much rather have a local, experienced optician.
