I love Macarons! Bridget O’Sullivan’s hand-made macarons have moved from its humble stall at the Riccarton Farmers Market to the European inspired shopping niche in Sydenham — The Colombo. Macarons are terribly French and quite the fashion statement in the confectionery word! In my opinion, Ladurée makes the best macarons in the world. Their macarons are a sophisticated combination of flavour and visual appeal that leaves an everlasting impression! That being said, I’m giving J’amie Les Macarons a five star rating because I think Bridget’s hand-made macarons are as good as it gets on this side of the ditch(the nearest Ladurée is in Sydney!) Check out their amazing range of utterly gorgeous, sweet and vibrant double-decker macarons at Dizengoff Café, La Fourchette or L’assiette. If you’re not sure what to sample, here’s a list of my favourites: Ginger, Sesame & Caramel Cinnamon Jam Doughnut Pear & Feijoa Salted Butter Caramel Chocolate 5 Spice Peanut Butter, Hazelnut & Milk Chocolate Pecan Pie Beetroot, Raspberry & Dark chocolate
