I went to Luciano’s with my colleagues for lunch recently. This place has some nice interior and the ambience was quite good.
I ordered chicken salad. It’s their signature dish made with chicken pieces garnished in corona and secret ingredients served with salad. I loved how the chicken pieces were succulent and I could taste the crunchy side of the chicken because of the batter that made the pieces a little crispy as well. Usually I love food that has some spicy tingly touch to it, which I found is lacking in chicken salad. Good menu item for lunch though. Recommend trying their fish and chips.

I am only in New Zealand once a year, and this is my go to place for amazing Hot Chocolate (made with REAL chocolate) and the food is divine! I recently had the fish and chips, which was a huge portion, and cooked absolutely perfectly while presented on a wooden board. Luciano and his staff are very friendly, and I am impressed that he recognises me when I walk in. I do suggest that you avoid the lunch rush 12−1pm, as it can get crazy in a tiny space, but apart from that, enjoy! I am heading back to the States soon, but intend to make at least one more visit to Lucianos before I go. Highly recommended.

Great ‘real chocolate’ mochas, nice décor, good atmosphere and friendly service at the counter. Sadly let down by a long wait for mediocre (and cold) chicken nachos. I would have ordered something from the display counter instead, but the huge cabinet was almost empty at just after 1pm on a Friday.
