This op shop has all the usual fare, including clothes, accessories, books, kitchenware, various bric-à-brac. I have found the staff there a little brusque on occasion but not enough so to deter me from returning. Although it is quite a tidy store it has the feel of being a bit hodge-podge. Maybe that’s just how op shops are, but I have definitely been in others that aren’t that way. I guess it feels a bit… dated in there. Which is unsurprising since my impression is that Howick village’s clientele appears to be largely of the older generation. Which might work in your favour since there might be less competition for your sweet new-old hipster-wear. And, all for low prices.

This is a great little op shop and supports a worthy cause. Aww, warm fuzzies. I’ve picked up some good bargains here including a brand new rice cooker(which from memory was about $ 10), a really cute pair of handmade wooden bookends, and even a t-shirt for my dog(it really brings out the colour in her eyes). The prices are exceptionally low, and there’s a good mix of stock to rummage through, including clothes, shoes, and handbags, books and music, plenty of crockery and other kitchen-y stuff(the requisite small cut crystal items), toys and jewellery. It’s always worth a look in to see what’s new.
