Hingaia Bridge

There always seems to be people fishing here and I’m not entirely sure why. Perhaps they know something that I don’t and perhaps there are some decent fish here to catch, but every time that I have tried I’ve only ever caught the odd small snapper and other small fish.
The best place to go is on the far side of the bridge and down the hill of the paddock until you reach the water’s edge. Just be careful though because it is usually pretty muddy and slippery on the banks of the water, and there are oyster shells galore just waiting to cut open some human skin. That’s another problem with fishing here too is that your line tends to get snagged quite often on the rocks and perhaps oyster beds. If you have no luck here at the end of the day, you can always just grab some fish and chips at the store close by and bring that back for the family.
