Oink oink I love pig… bacon, pork or ham — give it to me. With crackling is the best or with lots of gravy. Yum yum. After a mean 5 hour hike up hundreds of stairs I had the appetite for a roll filled with porky delishiousness (if thats a word). Add some coleslaw and grated cheese and you have the makings of a hungar buster.

On the way to the Coromandel, we made a breakfast stop at this country café. Had to try the Pokeno bacon breakfast as my friend had raved about the Pokeno bacon. Came with two eggs, a tomato, two slices of bacon, two halves of buttered toast which I split with a friend. Bacon was alright, definitely filling– worth a go.
Self-​serve water at the table between the family-​friendly American diner style seating on couches in corners and the outdoor area with round tables where we sat. A very cool bush, native bird focal mural with real-​life greenery also. Bathroom in the corner there if you need it.
Very popular on the Sunday while the market was on. Have a peek if you need food
