I turned up at what was probably peak time for breakfast/​brunch so my coffee took 15 – 20 minutes & my food 40 – 45 but the service was polite & friendly & all delays were communicated well.
My coffee was good as were my hot cakes (which although is called hot cakes on the menu turned out to be just the one cake haha).
Definitely check out Aro Café if you’re in Wellington, it’s a fun hub of delicious food & great staff.

Aro Café offers a good breakfast/​brunch menu and fabulous coffee. The poached and scrambled eggs were both very good, and the service was attentive. We were especially pleased that the servers made room for us on a busy Sunday morning.
