A cute little museum that drops some cool knowledge on you. My mom is a huge tulip fan, so we came by and checked the place out. Initially it just looks like the store. But once you get to the back there’s an entire museum! The museum is pretty cool. Honestly I wasn’t too hyped about going to a flower museum, but they really drew you in. It starts with where they first originated, then moved to how it became popular and stuff like that. The astonishing thing about this museum is how much tulips were worth at one point. But I’ll let you figure that out when you visit.

For the tulip and gardening lovers this is a very sweet and pretty museum. Small and quite informative, they carry tulip bulbs that you can purchase to take back with you to plant in garden back home. Free entry with the I amsterdam card. I loved the gift shop here very much!

We didn’t visit the exhibit, but they have a great, non-tacky gift shop with reasonably priced souvenirs. The gentleman working in the shop was really nice! He very carefully wrapped our goodies in easy to pack bundles.

It was raining so my boyfriend and I popped into the museum. It was a little bit boring and small, but overall I came away learning a lot about Tulipmania and the tulip growing process.

Interesting store. When I visited in March of 2013, the museum was under construction.

Very cool store. Prices are very reasonable considering the area. Information is all over the place about the various flowers. Don’t let your eyes wonder too much, there are only certain many flowers you can take back to the US. Person working the desk was very helpful and provided lots of tips. You can buy flowers elsewhere as we found out, but no where near the amount of info or great customer service as we experienced here.

I didn’t visit the museum but I loved the small shop in front. If you’re looking to bring home a little something to remember Amsterdam by, this is your one-stop shop for anything involving tulips! They have tulips(obviously), vases and other ceramics, hand towels, paintings, magnets, and all sorts of other little things. Very cute shop, I definitely recommend!

Went in to get some information about the museum but they were doing some work on it. The lady inside was incredibly knowledgable about a variety of flower related things. Told me I could order flowers from a distributer in the US to ship bulbs to my friends back home. She answered all my questions about the Tulip season here in the Netherlands too. Very friendly. Only weird thing is, it and the cheese museum next door are just off shoots of stores, so they arent truly museums per se, but showcases for the companies that started them.
