Hi, My boyfriend and I went there for dinner with a groupon(3 course for 25 €). We had a bad experience. First when we called to book they said it was fully booked for 3 times(you would think is a very good restaurant). Anyway for dinner they had: –homemade tomato soup: directly from the can without even adjust with salt and pepper. Was definitely water. — salmon with vegetables: good looking but boring taste We were so disappointed that we didn’t have the dessert. They noticed that we didn’t like it, but they didn’t offer us something else. Don’t buy any groupon or social deal for bistro zuid, it’s a waste of time and money.

Hello, my name is Megan and I’m a groupon addict. Well… not an addict but when an offer of 2, 3 course meals for 25 euros comes up, I’m on that like stink on poop! Bistro Zuid was ok but there is significant room for improvement. Firstly, they need some work on provisions. Both the starter AND mains that we wanted to order were out. I mean, restaurant 101 is have the food you have on the menu bloody available! Our reservation was at 7:30 so we weren’t late night diners or anything! The result was a below average ceaser salad, but a rather tender, juicy steak, as opposed to kalf-entrecôte. Steak actually suits me better so that worked out well. The dessert was edible but I got the impression it came out of a freezer package and was dressed up with some sauce and whipped cream — not cooked with the tender love and care that I give cakes. All in all, service was good but there was also the unfortunate fact that though our food wasn’t greasy, we left there smelling like we sat in a chippy for hours! I’ll be back… but probably only because I bought 2 groupons because it was such a good deal. Perhaps the 2nd visit will impress but as it stands, it’s just ‘ok’.
