Spent an great afternoon drinking beer with friends who brought me here saying it was one of their favorite place near their office.
Most people are locals and neighbors with a few that were just passing by and decided to enter. It is indeed a very friendly ambiance with confortable tables and seats looking a traditional Dutch pub.

Great selection of drinks, friendliest bar staff in the Jordaan, regular poker and board game tournaments, music pub quiz and major sports events on the big screen. My favorite neighborhood bar!
My only dislike is that they allow smoking inside, but I know for a lot of others this is a huge plus.

In the heart of the Jordaan and well off the beaten path we stumbled across this gem of a bar because my woman needed to find a potty (a common event in our travels).
This quaint Brown Café was quiet with folks playing chess and dominos. We drank tea but they had a respectable selection of beer and wine.
The place was comfy and welcoming even though we were the only ones speaking English.
I would recommend this to travelers who would like to pop in for a drink in a local bar and see how the natives relax.

pitty that they don’t do food, apart from small snacks.
