A charming little vegan/veg place, with flavours that rival any full kitchen around. I left impressed enough with this place that I considered not writing the review simply to keep it for myself. Momentary Ayn Rand moment aside, you’ve gotta try this place when in Amsterdam. It’s tucked a bit outside the centre of the city to the west, and well worth the walk. Their coffee is good not great, but the variety of nut milks available with it make it fun. The food — ohhhh the food. The Banh Xeo is special — unique, solid Asian flavours make this new take on an already unique food in Western market a hit for just € 9,50. And the Gepaneerde Aubergine is perfectly crafted for maximum flavour — just special for just € 7,50. The veg burger is rumoured to be the best you’ll ever have — I had to stop, but write me when you venture in to let me know how it was! The fresh juices are super refreshing. The staff even more so. Fear not if you don’t speak Dutch — plenty of friendly English coming from the team here. Come hungry… but as with all vegan food, make sure you’re not too far from more food in a few hours’ time when you’re hungry again.

Went for lunch here yesterday with friends. Had the best vegan burger I’ve had in a long while, even my meat eating friends loved it! Service was great, very friendly and welcoming. Will def make a stop here next time I’m in Amsterdam.

We were there having breakfast and it was simply amazing. They make an excelent vegetarian English breakfast and the tosti and cakes are great too and very fulfilling. We also had a smoothie with the food which was delicious. They have an open kitchen downstairs and it looks extremely clean, staff is very friendly and if it’s sunny is great to sit in the middle of the busy street meanwhile you enjoy a very healthy meal!

A great lunch café. It might happen to be vegan, but I have to say, I honestly didn’t even realize that anything was«missing». The tortilla soup was very tasty, and the tortilla crisps topping made my day. It was less creamy than I imagined, but it was a delicious broth nonetheless. I came back a separate time for the homemade veggie burger and that was a-mazing. Piled up high with toppings, I didn’t think I’d be able to finish the whopper, but it was too good to resist. The chipotle mayo and the beet salad topping(?) really gave it a good kick. Their fresh juices are great. The small size is very small, but the cute straw somehow makes you feel better about it. Will be back to try more and the lovely desserts too.

YES! NON-HIPPYVEGANFOODINAMSTERDAM! I’m sorry about the Caps Lock, I just can’t really believe it. I had the club sandwich once and the breakfast muffin the second time, both were amazing. Highly recommended. Super mellow lunch joint in an up and coming hood(and if you feel like having a drink after your healthy lunch — gotta compensate that somehow — there’s a bar in the next corner that is really nice too). I am digging Spaarndammerbuurt lately. Only one minus point: when we came in for breakfast we had no intention of having just a muffin. We wanted a royal vegan breakfast. Unfortunately it was not a weekend and so all they had was either a continental style thing — toast, jam, boring — or the muffin. On behalf of all students, part-time workers, the unemployed, the free-lancing, business-owning people whose lives are not weekdays-nine-to-five: please serve us breakfast all week? Thanks!
