Great café with a very cool rustic modern look. I stopped in during a visit in summer of 2013 and met the owner. He was a real nice guy and chatted with my friends and me while he made our coffee. I meant to return last time I was there but had trouble finding it again(we just happened to stumble on it the first time). Next time I’ll make it a point to visit again.

The coffee, the pastries, and the service are are perfect. Really, really wonderful coffee, in a quiet, beautiful, convenient(to us) spot. Worth going a few blocks out of your way. Perfect place for a break if you’re shopping in 9 streets area.

One of my favorite coffee places in Amsterdam. Great coffee. Sit on one of the benches outside and watch the world go by.

If you like a strong ristretto, this is your place! And mine ;) The coffee is very good, the place has a great atmosphere. It really gives the idea they know about coffee, and this is what an Italian in Amsterdam needs.

Great coffee. Plain and simple! Sweet little place with beans and coffee accessories for sale too. Do it.

Café Il Momento is a nice coffee bar at the Singel, close to Central Station. It is a great spot for a quick coffee. The flat Whites are really good and come with a little piece of ‘stroopwafel’(Dutch waffle cookie with caramel). They sell small pastries as well, quite a selection! Also croissants. There is not a menu on the wall but you can ask. A flat white will cost you 3,50, so not cheap but it tasted great. It is not really a great spot if you want to sit down for a long time since the stools are not really that comfortable but it is good for a little break between shopping. The owner is a friendly guy who will be happy to help you. They opened about 9 months ago and I think they are here to stay, it was pretty busy all the time but of course the location is good as well. I loved the industrial look of they with the bare brick wall. Also like that they sell some coffee things like books, mugs and French presses and such,

Fantastic cappuccino! The espresso was perfectly roasted and the foam was rich and sweet. The barista was really friendly as well. By far the best coffee I’ve had in my week in Europe!

Just met the owner of this brand new coffee shop. He’s really excited to talk about coffee — roasting green beans, who is roasting in Amsterdam, how the coffee culture is evolving here. The shop has a very cool vibe bothered a lot of reclaimed/salvaged heavy iron and warm wood. A massive shiny silver rocket shaped espresso machine sits near the front of the bar, overlooking the windows and the canal beyond. Coming soon is a small roaster right in shop! I had two good cups of espresso with different house roasted beans. Both pretty killer. Price was spot on too — 2 € for the first, just 1 € for the next. In addition to coffee and pastry there’s everything else you might want — a bunch of roasts of beans, lots of coffee making supplies. Sounds like business is good; they’re already converted enough customers from buy ground beans to grinding their own hat they’re already run out of Hario burr grinders! I’ll be back tomorrow for pour over.
