Mojo

our second time visiting Amsterdam from USA, and we have eaten at Mojo both times. The food has been great both times. We ate lunch outside in the sun on our first visit and dinner inside on our second visit. The music inside was lively but not loud. I ate the mojo burger which came with a salad and fries on our last visit. this place reminds me of american pub style food and atmosphere to the heart and it was fresh and great.

Very good service and well-​priced food with a good choice of beer.
There food choice and size of the place makes Mojo a good place for groups. The menu offers burgers, ribs, fish, and daily stampot. They also had ceviche and steak tartare on the menu.
After a though choice between the Mojo burger and steak tartare, I ordered the steak tartare as a main course. It came with fries and mayo, you can replace the fries with oven potatoes. The small version of the steak is without fries.
The steak tartare was not made according to Chef Robuchon’s recipe, but was nonetheless quite good. It was finely minced and seasoned well with what I would call a sauce. Unfortunately, it was not served with a raw egg on top. It was plated in a very pretty way, with some salad and mini tomatoes on top. The place also had a little swoosh of dragon mayonnaise, which I found tasted good and paired well with the steak. There could have been a bit more of it :)
The service was very good, attentive and pleasant. There is quite a bit of beer to chose from, but one can opt for some G&T’s as well.
My final note is a personal one. The place is a bit too far if you have to come from the centre or western neighbourhoods of the city. Yes, I guess that might sound a tad spoiled, but I am putting it out there.
I can see how this would be a great local spot, though. Also, they have a terrace next to the water, which I imagine is absolutely lovely in the summer.

Awesome place. Run by 3 friends who put love and a smile on your plate and in your glass. Chef from former Michelin Star kitchen. So although the menu is basic all on it is YUMMY! Let’s GO! Mojo!

Went there on a Tuesday. Not too busy and we found a nice spot in the sun. When Spring or Summer hits, you will be able to spend loooooong nights there. Good times to look forward to.
As always I had a burger and fries. Decent, nothing wrong, but nothing special.
Very nice service and a clean restroom make up for 3,5 stars.
