Nice location, good outdoor people watching. Drinks are reasonably priced and food is typical Amsterdam selection. My boyfriend and I sat and people watched and had a couple glasses of wine at a nice price. Service was ok — we had some bitterballen that took a long time to come out — we had to ask twice for it, but seemed like a fluke, as everyone around us got their stuff pretty quickly. Would go back for a drink some time.

Cute little lunch spot over on *that* side of Amsterdam. (Read: Jordaan, not my side in De Pijp).
I had a delicious cheese sandwich, which was really super tasty.
Service is a wee bit slower than typical slow Dutch service but it’s worth it.
Pretty trendy spot. Good for lunch w/​a friend or a business lunch.

Stout! is a nice place for dinner with a date or friends. It is casual and cozy, but you would not be out of place if you dressed up a bit for dinner.
I usually order the ‘Plateau Stout’ which is a tapas type sampling of 10 or so of their current dishes. Gives a great sampling of their food. It may be a bit small for larger appetites, but having the variety was excellent.
The service was good the times I was there as I did not have to hunt down people to order, get refills or ask for the check.

This is one of those almost perfect cafes for a casual evening with friends — cozy & small but not too crowded, lively but not too noisy, clean & nice ambience with dim lights but not too fancy.
I ve been here for lunch and it was great. I had the burger and my friend had the tuna melt and they were both good. The fries are thin and double fried and super crispy so I’m a big fan.
The bar is regular with beer, wine and some other cocktails.
Its a good place for dinner as well coz they light it up inside with these dim lights and its lovely.
The price for food and drinks is reasonable and The service is regular — depends on the server.
It does have an outdoor seating but i havent tried it yet — waiting for the summer. But will update based on that.

Das Stout! ist ein junges und stylish eingerichtetes Café. Es gibt auch Sitzplätze ausserhalb, wenn das Wetter in Amsterdam mitspielt. Es befindet sich im Trendigen Quartier Jordaan direkt an der Haarlemmerstraat.
Die Preise sind voll OK, wir haben für einen ChaiLatte gerade mal 2.50 Euro bezahlt. Zudem war es richtig lecker — viel besser als der Chai von Starbucks.
Die Bedienung ist, zum Lokal passend, jung und motiviert. Es gibt auch Snacks und kleinere warme Speisen, lohnt sich also durchaus auch fürs Mittagessen.

Besonders freundliches Personal. Das Essen war ein Mix aus 15 verschiedenen kleinen Kreationen. Sehr ideen Reich und hervorragend zubereitet. Das Resteraunt kann ich nur empfehlen!!!

Very few restaurants earn 5 stars in my world but stout! easily made the grade.
Unpretentious surroundings to deliver fantastic delicious food which is the right way around for me, with a nice warm welcome and busy buzzy place to enjoy a really good dining experience.
Not too expensive at 35 euro per head for 2 courses 2 glasses of wine and a coffee (which came with m&ms) but really enjoyable and very delicious so easily worth the money and very much recommended.
