Best dinner ever in Delft. Surprise 3 course vegetarian menu. What is really fantastic here is that the kitchen and staff are truly dedicated to the satisfaction of the guest, not some concept of gastronomy. The food is simply fantastic. The service professional and remarkably well timed. The four hours of dinner passed delightfully in the quiet and serene atmosphere of the upstairs dining room. I will surely be back.

Upstairs there is the restaurant. We were 11 people but the silence was absolute during the time we were eating the fish main course: tasty and delicate at the same time. Unfortunately I cannot tell you anything about the cost because we were invited…

Stopped by for lunch while on a day trip to Delft. The tomato basil soup was sublime. My dining companions had the soup of the week — and I’m afraid I don’t recall what it was, but they really enjoyed it as well. Add to that a plate of smoked cheese with mustard dip and wonderful, light textured bread for dipping and it really hit the spot. Washed it down with a very nice citrusy/​peach style Chardonnay. If you’re ever there it’s located behind the Stadhuis in the Markt area. Worth finding.

Fabulous, amazing place. A great setting in a fab old building in delft, it’s ok to sit outside but the atmosphere is to be found inside, sit by the window overlooking the canal and the kitchen to seethe amazing attention to detail that goes into what is essential gastropub food.
Went three times in a weekend and had nothing less than excellent. The quiche, vege with feta and squash and a crumble topping of nuts was excellent and fresh flavoured. Their signature dish is a duck sandwich, pan seared duck on a layer of spring onion, covered in duck roulette, two day marinaded in hoi sin and lightly coated with miso mayonnaise. Just amazing sandwich and a meal in itself. Their burgers are top notch and all fresh bread baked on site contributes to wondrous sandwiches of all kinds. Steak is succulent and well cooked, the lamb dish is tender and packed with flavour. After all this the desserts have such attention to detail and originality in them. The fresh pineapple crumble and ice cream with fruit coulis was exquisite.
In London you would pay double the price at least for food of this quality and such good service. If you are in delft and hungry the go here.
