Holland, Taart Pannekoek Toet

Our hotel recommended Holland for pannekoeken. They had a huge selection of both sweet and savory pannekoekens which is important to me. I don’t care for sweet pannekoekens unless it’s dessert. My wife had a sweet brie and almond pannekoeken while I had a savory pizza-​like pannekoeken with salami, peppers, leeks, and a pepper sauce. And what a surprise: they served the best (so far) Dutch beer I’ve had, Puur which was very hoppy. The servers were very nice and helpful; when I asked what is ‘preis?’, she could not translate to English so she brought out a sample of leeks to show me! That’s the way to provide customer service! This is a nice place on the walk platz very near the old Gothic house the bell tower.
