If you ask any inhabitant of Leiden about craft beer places, they’ll probably be able to point you towards Olivier and their competitor Lemmy’s. Olivier definitely has a much smaller beer selection. This does, however, make sure that you never get lost, especially considering the elaborate explanations on the menu. Other pluses are the decoration and the fact that the place actually serves food. Thus, Olivier is a nice place for going with family or starting your beer journey. But if you’re a more advanced beer drinker, you should probably just go to Lemmy’s.

Unlike almost every other bar in Leiden, this place is HUGE! They also have an equally huge selection of beers.
If you’re there on a quiet night it can be a bit gloomy because of its size, but most nights that’s not a huge problem.
